Hope everyone is enjoying their new classes! This is my first official week back to school with kids. I am loving my new class and the room. I have had to share a room with another first grade teacher for the last two years. We were the 'Double Trouble'. However 36 students in one room is very trying, makes me enjoy my 20 students in one room so much this year! The 'Double' (cause I am the 'trouble', or so I am told) to the "Double Trouble" is only right next door and loving a single class as much as I am.
Anyway, my goal this year is to establish some really good center routines. In the past couple of years centers have become busy work and not very productive. Anyone have any good ideas to share?
